I have tried my best to put into words my experience attending Niki Marie’s Workshop. Before I continue, do yourself a favor and look her up. She is so gifted, talented, she’s beyond wise and definitely desires to see others succeed. I am forever thankful for my experience attending this workshop, so if you ever see this, Niki, thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Every single detail of the workshop, from the second it began with a private, fancy, candle lit Welcome Dinner to the very last moments sitting on the cutest blankets having a Farewell Picnic in a beautiful park in Charleston, it was all INTENTIONAL. This workshop was much more than the Editorials we got to be part of with the content and learning, but I truly learned that everything I do for my clients is all about the experience. Niki and her team taught that with intention with every detail they put into the workshop for us as attendees, but also the classes and shoots.
It was August of 2021, I had officially been a full time photographer for a solid 2 months and 6 years being part time. I just felt stuck with my work. It wasn’t anything bad. I think as a creator, I felt like I wanted to take a next step, where I personally felt set apart in a way that I, myself desired, but also a space where the industry offers a look that I loved. I had been following Niki for some time and she was offering her 2nd NMP Workshop and I told my husband “I don’t really know what I am expecting to get out of it, but I am expecting big.” I walked away from the workshop and it was everything I needed to move forward.
I have fully rebranded since then and am really excited for all that’s in store! It’s my desire to capture all things timeless, true to color, classy, intimate and joyful stories all the while creating an experience that my clients will remember as a JRP Couple! I could probably write a lot more about my experience, but for now I want to share some of the beautiful editorials and photos that I got to be a part of and take.
You will see: Two different wedding looks and one engagement session. And, just take in how beautiful Charleston, SC is – walking along those streets alone gave my inspiration!
